Lletty Cottage is a self-contained annex to the main house, and stands next to the 400-year old yew which gives the farm its name. The old Welsh name is Lletty'r-ywen, literally the lodging place next to the yew tree.

Nearby walks lead through the beautiful countryside, with views over the stunning Brecon Beacons, with Red Kites and Buzzards flying overhead. The charming church of St. Sadwrn lies in the centre of Llansadwrn village adjacent to The Sexton's Arms where you will get a very warm welcome and where food is served. In Llanwrda village one and a half miles away there is a general store, garage, pub and caf open all hours.
Two miles away is the delightful Welsh village of Llangadog with a Post Office and Country Stores, an excellent butcher selling local produce, and a very good pub-restaurant.
