Master Bedroom

A designer bathroom with toasty underfloor heating, luxury bette bath with shower overhead (with excellent water pressure), monogrammed bath towels and fluffy robes too.
Kitchen
The granite topped kitchen is well-equipped with fridge/freezer, built-in oven, ceramic hob and microwave. The cupboards are well stocked with all the cutlery, Denby crockery and glassware that you may need during your stay. The cottage is situated in the heart of one of the prettiest villages of the Peak District National Park, Youlgreave, which is a half hour drive from junction 28 of the M1 and is close to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Matlock and Buxton. It is ideal as a romantic hideaway for two, or with walks literally from the doorstep it is an excellent base for walking holidays.
Youlgreave is one of the largest villages in the Peak District, surrounded on all sides by stunning countryside and history to be found on every corner.
The village has three pubs, all of which serve good food, and a Post Office which doubles up as a General Store with newspapers if you pre-order them.
There is also a village store with tea rooms. One of the Pubs, The George, serves take away fish and chips and Peak Feast, hidden away beyond the Tweedle Dee cottage a little further up the road, sells a range of cakes, pies and other gourmet food together with teas, coffees and hot chocolate.
The village boasts many interesting sites and traditions one being the annual Well Dressing which takes place right outside the front door of Thimble Cottage and is an event unique to Derbyshire villages.
Each scene is hand created from flower petals which are individually laid onto clay within wooden boards which have been pre-soaked in the local river. Sadly, these masterpieces last just one week from start to finish. On the right, one that villagers made in June 2006, situated in Fountain Square.
