Tower Museum

Tower Museum, Derry, Londonderry, Northern Ireland

The Tower Museum is a museum on local history in Derry, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The museum is located in Union Hall Place, within a historic tower just inside the city walls, near the Guildhall. It presents the history of Derry (The Story of Derry) and also has an exhibit on a local shipwreck from the Spanish Armada (An Armada Shipwreck ? La Trinidad Valencera). The museum opened in 1992 and has won a number of awards. It covers the political conflict that has affected the history of the city.

The award winning Tower Museum is located within the city?s historic walls. The museum also boasts the only open air viewing facility in the heart of the city centre with stunning panoramic views of the city and River Foyle.

Internal lift to all 5 levels of Armada Shipwreck, La Trinidad Valencera exhibition including viewing area of city.
Internal lift to museum services area, access to research facilities and genealogy service.
Level access to learning area.
Accessible toilets are located on ground floor.
