The harbour runs a daily foot ferry service to Point Clear and East Mersea, From Point Clear visitors can enjoy a stunning coastal walk taking you down to St Osyth. At East Mersea we drop passengers off at Cudmore Grove Country Park which makes a great day out for everyone. Both destinations are beach drop offs, 4 legged companions are welcome and there is also room for bikes.
For visitors who just want to get out on the water and explore our beautiful harbour we run tours daily. A boating DREAM! A quick tour to take a SUPER close look at the yachts and power boats around the harbour. Sail around Cindery Island, which is home to lots of WILDLIFE, you may even be lucky enough to spot SAMMY THE SEAL or pass one of our huge CARGO SHIPS! Explore the river Colne by booking a pub lunch river cruise to The Anchor at Rowhedge on our electric boat Colne Innovation. Included is the return boat trip and main meal at The Anchor, a classic English pub right on the banks of the river Colne with amazing 180 degree waterfront views. Enroute to Rowhedge you will pass stunning countryside views, the tidal defence Colne Barrier built in 1989, plus the colourful village of Wivenhoe.
Alternatively enjoy a scrumptious afternoon tea below deck on an old Thames Barge, Bread & Roses based at St Osyth Boatyard. Departing from Brightlingsea, you will head up the creek towards St Osyth. Passing Brightlingsea Harbour moorings whilst enjoying amazing creek views.
